Dreamweaver CS3 throwing Spry.htm errors

Had an error every time I opened a file I would get multiply pop-ups about an error with Spry.HTML, SpryWidget.htm, and PHP_MySQL.htm. What was really confusing me was that I never use Spry an dreamweaver. The pop-ups really started getting annoying since they showed several times while working on a file. I finally broke down and took the time to see where the problem was and how to fix it. The fix was pretty simple. Dreamweaver must create a cached version of the configuration for the each user on the machine. So go to

C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9

Here you will see a Configuration folder. Rename the folder to something else just incase you may need it again and then restart dreamweaver. Dreamweaver will recreate the configuration folder in your users application folder and you should not receive the errors anymore.

Thanks a million for this solution. It was driving me nuts and your solution worked like a charm. For vista users (at least on my version of Vista) the folder can be found at C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9

The comment obviously cut out part of my path, here is again: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9
PS: It is a hidden folder so you might need to change your folder settings to see it.

I am unable to change the name of the folder in Vista. It says I do not have permission. Any suggestions?

@Eco, Computer’s default user(main administer) must have the permission. You may not get to the folder through your default user path.
    C:\user\…default user…\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver9
